Why Service Design is not UI/UX Design, or any other design discipline for that matter.

Service Design is not User Interface (UI) or User Experience (UX) Design. It is a design discipline that stands on its own.

There is a need to clearly articulate why Service Design is a distinct design discipline. If we designers have yet to achieve clarity on this differentiation, it would be difficult to expect non-practitioners to comprehend the difference and, ultimately, the value of Service Design.
